“The Importance of Effective Project Management in Today’s Competitive Environment”
Technical session will focus on the application of processes, methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve a projects objectives through exemplar practice. The importance of ethics within the construction environment, and their influence on the best people and teams, will be analysed.
Also the tools that the effective Project Manager must carry to overcome regional challenges, project inevitability and barriers to successful project delivery will be discussed.
Andrew Mitchell is Chair of the CIOB Hub Committee for the MENA Region and Chair of the CIOB Hub Committee for Doha. Having completed his BSc (Hons) in Construction Management at the University of Westminster in London in 1998, Andrew subsequently worked for major construction Contractors and Consultants throughout the UK, before moving to Doha in 2009 where he is Director of Planning & Programme Management at David Adamson Group. Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, a Chartered Construction Manager as well as a Fellow of the Association for Project Management, and has previously been responsible for providing industry mentoring and career guidance to under-graduates through the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
